Opening Daveste's 2015 Thirsty Thursday Season, Marie and Ryan are a rocking little duo playing smaller venues and festivals. Think Americana/Blues/Folk Rock. We began learning each others music over four years ago after a chance meeting at a local open mic. Ryan's extraordinary guitar skills and sparse harmonies add just the right polish. In 2010 we were awarded Charlotte Music Awards Folk Artists of the Year. Ryan and I are also members of Fourth Creek Band, a James Taylor Tribute.
You won't want to miss this one, friends and neighbors. Brad Bailey will be joining us as our special guest. So excited about this extremely talented musician/composer - you may have seen him playing an 8 string jazz banjo. Yeah, you heard me right! Jazz and banjo in same sentence... with wine in TROUTMAN (not sure this is actually legal in Iredell County).
